Signature Cutting explores that creative way of thinking: understanding the structure first, then deciding how to make the result your own.

See the person before the shape
A haircut starts with the client’s proportions, growth patterns, natural texture and daily routine. The consultation gives those details meaning. It helps you choose where to create emphasis, where to preserve weight and how the style should behave between appointments.
Practise describing a shape before reaching for your scissors. Notice how the outline, the face frame and the internal movement support one another, and how changing one element can alter the whole impression.
Build a clear cutting structure
Clean sectioning and a clear guide give creative work its foundation. Length, graduation and layering are ways of controlling weight and movement; understanding their relationship helps you choose a method with purpose.
When you observe a demonstration, follow the order of the sections, the direction of the hair and the checks made along the way. Ask what each decision contributes to the final shape and how you would adapt it for a different density or texture.
Refine the detail, keep the character
The finishing stage is where a haircut’s individual character becomes visible. Check the silhouette, the connection between areas and the way the hair falls naturally. Refine where the shape needs it, while keeping the strength and balance you intended.
Think about wearability as carefully as the photograph of the finished result. A signature cut should feel expressive in the salon and make sense for the person who will style it at home.
